Red Pepper House Exclusive Hotel

We undertook an electrical services condition assessment at Red Pepper House, Lamu Island, to investigate frequent power interruptions and identify safety and reliability issues within the existing installation. The scope covered inspection and assessment of KPLC, generator and solar-backup power systems; power distribution and changeover arrangements; distribution boards and protective devices; earthing and bonding; and lighting and ceiling-fan circuits. The proposed rectification works included upgrading distribution boards, separating utility/generator and solar supplies, replacing undersized cables, improving circuit protection and load balancing, completing earthing works, and labelling and terminating circuits. The scope also included coordination with the solar subcontractor, electrical servicing, testing and commissioning to improve the installation's safety, reliability and maintainability.
